Paintings for Sale and Looking for Angel Investors
By Carl J Chan
Ladies and gentlemen: If there is a divine power around you, if you were to introduce yourself to this higher divine power and energy, what would you say?
My name is Carl Chan. I am a dreamer, a life artist, a guy who dreams of promoting the spiritual awakening of mankind and reducing human wars. Does this sound a little crazy?
Many people in the world have crazy ideas, but only a small number of them put these ideas into practice, and only a few truly follow the call of their hearts. These people are scientists, artists, entrepreneurs, and philanthropists. Of course, there are also some terrible individuals in this category, but today, let’s focus on the good people and good deeds. Let’s talk about the power of charity and the potential for change.
When I was 15, I faced a choice between suicide and escaping from Communist school. I was born and spent my teenage years in China, where I witnessed enough lies, absurdity, and violence under tyranny, along with the complex national character shaped by dictatorship.
Before moving to the United States, I read extensively about political theory. I used to agree with theorists who claimed that everything needs a good system. I once hoped that China, and even the whole of Asia, would adopt the American system. But when I actually lived in the United States, I realized that democracy and freedom are not as simple as theorists depict. I learned that society is often shaped by its social culture, which encompasses both group consciousness and the collective unconscious.
In many troubled societies, the root of the issue is not the laws, but rather the social culture. Those problematic countries may have perfect laws, but they are meaningless unless their cultures change.
Therefore, I turned my attention to Carl Jung. I believe Carl Jung holds the key to understanding many of the disagreements and wars in the world. Typically, those toxic social cultures and blind group behaviors are what Jung referred to as the collective unconscious. Many societies engage in meaningless struggles, even when suffering from hunger and extreme poverty. They generate endless suffering. Why don’t they let go, respect others, and free themselves? Why not move towards peace and development? Do they harbor resentment towards happiness? Their collective unconsciousness operates like a blindly running machine.
When I was about 18 years old, I worked for a Taiwanese sales company in Dongguan, China. My job was calling Chinese Americans to sell dish TV. I connected with a girl from Guangdong on the phone, she mentioned she was traveling from Dallas to Chicago with her friends. At that time, I had no idea about Dallas or Chicago. However, ten years later, I arrived in Chicago, leading me to truly believe that a higher power guided me to the United States.
Next,I will say,I know it's unbelievable, but it's a true story:two years after I left that company, one day I was in Dongguan, China, and I met a stranger. This stranger called out my name. I asked him, why do you know me? He said that two years ago, he was in Las Vegas, and he took my call and talked to me for an hour. What??? How is this possible? He said that he was on a business trip in Las Vegas and was staying at his friend's house when he received my sales call and he saw the ad I posted on a Chinese BBS, which had my photo in it.I've experienced incredible things more than once, and this is just one of them.
I constantly think about how I can give back to the United States—the country that granted me a second chance at life. There are many differences in the world, and the forces of good and evil are always at odds. Democracy and individual freedom remain eternal causes.
Becoming an artist and entrepreneur, listening to the call of my heart, and pursuing my charity project—Carl Jung Stations—is what I aspire to do. I believe Carl Jung's research, along with positive psychology and mysticism, will significantly diminish pointless conflicts and political Blindness. Humans often inflict pain upon one another for pointless reason.
If you receive this letter, please believe that it is divine providence that has connected us.

I hope to open a Hakka-themed restaurant as soon as possible—this would be a starting point for my business and cultural charity initiatives. My ideal restaurant business would move towards branded hotels and resorts. Imagine you are on vacation in a city in the United States that has a restaurant or resort that shares your values and vision. I have to have a successful business so that my charity will last.
I plan to establish Carl Jung stations around the world-unconsciousness and positive psychology research.Unless politics changes, charity is limited; and unless culture changes, politics cannot change.
Best regards.Gratitude and Humility

About Carl J Chan:
was born in China; left the Communist school at 15; probably the only kid who publicly protested a teacher's cheating demands at age 8 in China; perhaps the only individual who improvised performance art at North Korean customs. While entering North Korea, he deliberately avoided the manual inspection of North Korean soldiers to test whether individuals could be uncooperative in one of the most repressive dictatorships in the world—and he succeeded; the North Korean soldiers ignored him or simply did not care.
I got magic by spirituality, and meet with you!
Thank you again!
